Your Role

Teach for Hong Kong is entering its next chapter. We are moving from a successful first decade into an era of institutional maturity and systemic impact.

 

We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to partner with our Executive Director and the Board to lead this evolution. You will be the bridge between our vision and our reality—solidifying the operational backbone that powers our Fellowship while simultaneously building the new strategic engines that will define our future.

Roles and Responsibility

  • StrategytoExecution: You will turn our vision into reality by translating new strategic priorities into concrete and actionable plans and defining measurable objectives and key results
    Financial Stewardship and Fundraising: You will oversee financial planning and funding portfolio to ensure overall financial health while strategically investing into new growth pillars
    Operational Excellence: You will elevate our operating model to enable our team to focus more on impact. You will lead daytoday operations (including admin, finance, HR, compliance) and enhance internal policies, workflows, and systems to improve efficiency and support sustainable impact
    Program Operations: You will oversee crossfunctional program initiatives and align operational execution with strategic and missiondriven goals
    Ecosystem Activation and Strategic Partnerships: You will build external networks and deepen our connections with alumni, key education stakeholders and nonprofit strategic partners
    People & Culture: Nurture our most valuable assetour team. You will oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and development, and drive initiatives that foster an inclusive and valuesdriven culture

Qualifications

  • ● Mission and values alignment with TFHK
    Seasoned leader with 10+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years working with impact or education sector
    Strategic and system thinker who not just originates but also executes strategy
    Track records in business development and external partnership
    Proven experience in change management and crossfunctional collaboration
    People leader with strong coaching and stakeholder management skills
    Bilingual communicator in Chinese and English (Cantonese preferred)
