Eligibility
We partner with primary and secondary schools where:
- 50% students population receive financial care of government assistance (including Comprehensive Social Security Assistance) or student financial aid, or
- 25% student population are non-Chinese speaking (NCS) as defined by the Education Bureau
Our Fellowship Program continuously received positive feedback from the school we serve, with 80% of partner schools agreeing that Fellows’ performance is better than average entry-level teachers.

Teach For Hong Kong supports partner schools in recruiting promising fresh graduates and young professionals from diverse academic and professional fields who have a passion for education and are ready to lead change by leveraging their expertise as full-time teachers (“Fellows”) at local under-resourced schools for one year. The Fellowship positions them as unique future leaders who can inspire students and drive positive change within the school community.
Designed as part of the Fellowship program, Fellows commit to only 50% of the teaching load of regular teachers, providing them with greater capacity to understand student and school dynamics, build teacher-student relationships, and introduce classroom innovations. They also collaborate with cross-sector partners on initiatives in thematic education including, social-emotional learning, STEM, arts and culture, global vision, life and career exploration, and sustainability, which uplift student motivation and broaden their horizons.
With training and support from TFHK, including teaching training, coaching, and leadership development, schools gain access to a pool of unconventional and innovative teaching talents. These Fellows not only enhance their individual capabilities but also become catalysts for educational equity, strengthening the school community as a whole. By harnessing diverse resources and networks from cross-sector partnerships, we integrate these into our partner schools to enrich student learning experiences and facilitate the sharing of best practices and innovative solutions across sectors.
